First off, my apologies for the radio silence; life has thrown a whirlwind of excitement and challenges my way! I’ve been deep in the creative and entrepreneurial trenches, cultivating my startup, SwavAI. This post is a little beacon to share my journey, sprinkle in some hard-earned entrepreneurial wisdom, and illuminate the vision and progress of my company.
Post the innovative strides with the intelligent hexapod, I’ve poured my energy into SwavAI. We’re in the art of crafting interactive art installations that don’t just occupy space but dynamically interact with it. SwavAI is pioneering a unique concept where art meets functionality, creating living spaces that not only cater to aesthetic tastes but also intuitively respond to emotional cues and physical well-being needs. The idea is to curate environments that nurture mindfulness and health awareness, evolving with you, and for you.

At the heart of SwavAI, we are currently navigating the ideation sea, which means our offerings are being refined with each wave of feedback. This is an exhilarating phase, and we’ve already made significant strides: we’ve incorporated federally in Canada, secured a patent pending for our novel technology, and earned a spot in the prestigious McGill Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship accelerator program. This journey is far from a solo venture, and I’m always on the lookout for kindred spirits with a knack for business development, marketing, or electrical engineering. If SwavAI’s mission sparks a light in you, I’d love to connect and explore potential collaborations.
Treading through the entrepreneurial landscape, one thing stands paramount: networking is invaluable. Surround yourself with visionaries, soak up their experiences of triumphs and failures, and let their lessons elevate your path. My journey, though less than a year old, has been adorned with encounters with remarkable minds. Alongside personal interactions, reading literature can also be transformative. “The Lean Startup” by Eric Ries is one such gem that offers profound insights into building a startup that is both nimble and efficient—principles that are core to SwavAI’s philosophy.
This year has been one of learning, and I’ve been relentless in pursuing that goal. Juggling my Computer Science studies with SwavAI’s endeavors, in addition to G&G Web Technologies has been a high-wire act, but as I inch towards the end of my academic chapter, I’m eager to meld my technical prowess with the entrepreneurial strategies I’ve been honing.
Peering into the future, SwavAI is charting a course to crystallize our financial models and business plan by the year’s end. 2024 is poised to be a pivotal year as we venture into the discovery phase to harvest validated feedback. While the roadmap ahead isn’t etched in stone, my ambition is to navigate SwavAI towards the launch of our pre-alpha models by the close of 2024.
For those whose curiosity is piqued, and who are interested in being among the first to experience SwavAI’s offerings, I invite you to connect with me directly on LinkedIn or subscribe to our newsletter for updates and a spot on our exclusive waitlist.
Onward and upward, Gabe
